Meet Mads
While I loved working as a service and office manager for many years at different fire and HVAC companies in Australia, I became more passionate about the idea of working for the software which helped me to run those companies, Uptick. After moving into a dream role at Uptick, I was exposed to more companies and more ways of achieving things within the bounds of the system, and have assisted many customers along the way to streamline and customise their Uptick systems to their unique businesses.
I started Banksia Solutions because I saw a gap - there was no one tackling the more complex, in-depth aspects of fire systems software Uptick and how to use it to manage more complex problems or contracts. Unfortunately, that sometimes meant businesses were acting on incorrect advice, which directly impacted efficiency and outcomes.
If you know me, you know I’m passionate about doing things right. With 10 years of Uptick experience, it’s my mission to educate and lead the way on best-practice use of Uptick for companies, starting with supporting office users and field technicians in their day to day use.
Meet Tess
I love helping businesses run better. Over the past decade I have led teams across SaaS, property and publishing with a focus on operations, customer experience and change. At Uptick I served as Head of Customer, then General Manager and later Head of ANZ, which gave me a front row seat to the complexities of scaling and how to get the most from systems and people.
Along the way I saw too many teams asked to make big decisions without clear, practical advice. That’s why I now focus on bridging strategy and day to day execution. I work with leaders to streamline processes, support office teams and field technicians, and turn data into decisions that lift performance.
I’m energised by doing things properly, coaching well and communicating clearly. I served as a Director and Vice President at FPA Australia, which deepened my interest in compliance in the fire industry, especially how we pass knowledge to the next generation of practitioners. Above all, I care about helping companies using Uptick so their teams can get on with the job.
